Getting IP address information on OS X

In case you need a convenient way to retrieve geo info for some IP address (like country, ISP, hostname), this Automator script can be helpful. Double click it to install, and now you can highlight any text that is an IP address, and in the application menu select Services->ipinfo. The script will retrieve the info for the IP address and display it in a popup. You can tie the script to a hotkey (In System Preferences go to Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Services, find the service ipinfo and assign it some shortcut). Now you can just highlight some text which is an IP address, and press the hotkey. The script is tolerant to the "garbage" and can extract an IP address from a larger string (so the selection doesn't necessarily have to be exactly the IP address).
